let’s give the user a chance to make their screens ‘wow’ screens again because some of us need this to come back again and again to the outlook product!! some users need colors and ‘wows’ to make them want to buy the thing, like ‘little ole’ me’….and plenty others i’m seeing. Unfortunately, with this mindset, they don’t understand that they’ve got an excellent piece of software that needs to be tweeked by the users. most of them would let you change your screens to any color you’d like and you could vary anything you wanted about them…I think outlook professionals think let’s keep it conservative because we don’t want to change the base because this might scare people away from the norm or even cause people to look at a colorful scheme and then think it’s just another ‘wow’ program that loses its unprofessionality.
I had a IBM pc when they first came out…256k.mine might have been the second string, I think the first was 128k….anyway….I used to spend countless hours late at night downloading software from bulletin board services, mainly communications software.
